Every tour runs with two guides: one rigging and coaching at the top of the falls, one on the backup line in the pool below. We've worked these waterfalls side by side for seven years.
Owner and lead guide
Renan has guided waterfall rappel on Kauai since 2012 and has put more than 15,000 guests on rope. He rebuilt the trail to the falls, designed the anchor systems, and wrote the operating and emergency procedures the crew works by. Most guests know him as Nan.

Operations manager
Matt has guided alongside Renan for seven years and works every position on the descent, from rigging at the top to the backup belay below. He runs the day-to-day operation, from gear inspections to trail maintenance, and assisted with jungle rappel and rescue training for U.S. Air Force personnel.
